Dermaplaning is a relaxing, chemical-free treatment that uses a sterile surgical blade to gently sweep away dead skin cells and the fine 'peach fuzz' hair from the surface of the skin. The result is immediate — skin looks brighter and feels beautifully smooth, make-up glides on flawlessly, and skincare absorbs far better. It suits almost every skin type, involves no downtime, and can be combined with a collagen facial or LED for an extra boost.

How it works
The skin is cleansed and dried, then held taut while a sterile blade is passed across the surface at a precise angle.
This lifts away built-up dead skin cells and the fine downy hair that traps dulling oil and debris.
What's left is a smooth, refreshed surface that reflects light better — so skin looks instantly brighter and products penetrate more deeply.
What to expect
-
Cleanse
The skin is thoroughly cleansed and prepared.
-
Dermaplane
Lily gently glides the sterile blade across the skin — most people find it relaxing and completely painless.
-
Boost (optional)
A collagen facial, hydrating mask or Dermalux LED can be added to nourish the freshly exfoliated skin.
-
Finish
The skin is soothed and protected. You'll leave smooth, glowing and ready for make-up straight away.
Aftercare
- Wear SPF — freshly exfoliated skin is more sensitive to the sun.
- Avoid harsh actives such as retinol and acids for a couple of days.
- Skip heavy sweating, saunas and steam for 24 hours.
- Despite the myth, hair grows back exactly as before — never thicker or darker.
Frequently asked questions
Will my hair grow back thicker or darker?
No — this is a common myth. Dermaplaning removes fine vellus hair at the surface, and it grows back exactly the same as before. It does not change the colour or thickness.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Because it's chemical-free, dermaplaning is a great option for sensitive skin and even during pregnancy, when many other treatments aren't advised.
How often can I have it?
Around every four weeks works well, which fits the skin's natural renewal cycle. It's also perfect as a one-off before a special event.
What's the difference between the three options?
The Quick Dermaplane is a smoothing express treatment; the Dermaplane Collagen Facial adds a nourishing facial; and The Ultimate Dermaplaning is the full pampering experience with added boosters. Lily will help you choose.
Is there any downtime?
None. Skin may look slightly pink very briefly, but most people go straight back to their day — often with make-up on.
